The Wolverine

In this project I tried to achieve a different look with a non-PBR style. Using cards and outlines to mimic a kind of ''painting'' look.
For the first attempt to create the cards I used Bifrost in Maya, but I couldn't figure out how to create different UV sets. So I ended up creating the cards again (see ''Tora'' in my portfolio) in Zbrush using nanomesh, which also allows you to control the direction of each card. Maybe I'll try Houdini next time...

The cards have two UV sets, one that fills the whole UDIM for the brush alpha and another with the UVs of the underlying mesh so they can use the same textures.

I also used the pfxToon node to create different outlines in order to clarify the silhouette.
